“ Ramen is one of my favorites foods. We found this place and decided to try Nomu Ramen and Izakaya. How did it fair? Let find out: Ambiance The setting feels like a new up-to-date feel for a young crowd. There is a half bar in the center of the restaurant. On one side there seems to be some construction going on. The restaurant had good lighting and had a nice vibe to it. Service The waitress we had was nice. The food came out at a good pace. Food Shrimp tempura The shrimps were light and crispy. It was slightly under-seasoned but I think it is like that due to the sauce that accompanies it. Paired together it is perfectly seasoned. Edamame These were good. Lightly salted. Taste is similar to what you get at other places. Agedashi tofu I really enjoyed this tofu. It had a nice umami-filled broth with a nice jalapeño kick to it. Wish I had some rice with it to soak up the broth. Gyoza The dumplings had a nice meaty flavor. The filling was properly seasoned and the wrapper was not too doughy. The bottom had a nice crispy fry to it. The accompanying sauce pairs well with the gyoza but I thought it did not really need the sauce. Tonkatsu shio ramen What can I say about this ramen... the broth is properly seasoned and was very tasty. The noodles for me were a little too soft, because I prefer a more toothsome noodle texture. Overall The food was cooked well and the flavors were there. Again, I would prefer a more firmer noodle texture. The small dishes were nice. Oddly enough, when we went there they did not have sushi, yet the menu online has sushi on it. This is a good ramen place with small dishes if you are in the area. ”
“ Came to this spot for dinner one night with my wife and it was a pleasant dining experience. There is plenty of seating and a spacious round bar top. The Okonomiyaki Karaage was interesting. The chicken karaage part was tasty. The raw cabbage part is not really selling it as okonomiyaki. It honestly just felt like a karaage dish alone. The staff were attentive and kind. The ramen was nicely not as salty as other spots. They have decent ramen, but not spectacular. The spicy ramen is actually spicy, so don't order if you can't handle the heat! This place is a "nice to stop by" if you're in the area. ”
“ I came here with a friend, excited to try their ramen. Immediately upon entering, the staff greeted with bright smiles. Inside it's clean and has many tables that easily accommodated the dinner rush around 6PM. We ordered the takoyaki to share, and we both ordered the tonkotsu shoyu ramen. The takoyaki was very doughy but it was tasty and hot. For the ramen, the broth was packed with flavor and the meat in the was tender, but the noodles were on the thinner side, were soft, and lacked bounciness which made me a bit disappointed. Despite this, the food and portions are good for the price they offer and the staff were all friendly, quick, and attentive. ”
“ I went to Nomu for the first time for dinner on a friend's recommendation and it did not disappoint. The restaurant has a modern vibe and a nice bar area. We were seated quickly and service was attentive. I ordered the spicy miso ramen and it was very delicious. Usually when I order spicy ramens they aren't actually spicy, but this one had a good enough of a kick without being overwhelming. The egg was nice and jammy. Noodles were cooked to perfection and went well with the broth. It comes with some very tender and rich pork belly that helps cut through some of the spiciness of the dish. I had a great time and would dine here again when I'm in the area. ”
“ The food here was amazing. Everything I ordered was delicious. For myself I ordered the spicy chicken ramen. Now I don't typically finish an entire bowl of ramen and the broth but I left this bowl clean! The karaage was crispy on the outside and so juicy inside. The truffle potato pancakes were super crunchy, almost like ramen chips. I was surprised to learn they have their own distillery. I tried the sunset mocktail this time but I'm sure their cocktails are delightful too. My entire family loved the food so we will definitely be going back soon. ”
“ Clean bright spot for Japanese food. I got the shoyu ramen and added spicy sauce. I liked the radish that came with the meals but wish there were more veggies in the ramen. Otherwise the ramen spoon, flavor, and portion was great. My Japanese beer went down nicely with it as well. ”
“ Tucked away in the back of the plaza with tous Les jour and burgerfix We came by for an early dinner on a Saturday and there were a few tables but we were seated quickly. After being seated the first server came by and took our drink order: then another server came by and took our food order. I ordered a yuzu nonalcoholic beverage and it was cirtusy and super light. Both sweet and sour; but refreshing. My husband got ramen, while I indulged in the Butadon dish, which was a braised pork belly over rice. It was full of flavor and I ended up eating the whole bowl despite being super full it was so good I couldn't stop. Haha. Highly recommend, you may want to share it so you're able to try other things but it was delish! Towards the end of our experience we waited a super long time for our check despite trying to flag down a server. Not sure who our main person was but once we got the check we were ready to rock and roll. All in all we had a great time, I can't wait to come back and try other dishes on the menu. ”
“ I have dined at Nomu a handful of times and I do have to give them a 5. I have been at this location years ago when it was an AYCE sushi place. I am happy that Nomu took over the space in this area. On my visits, I've tried: GYOZA, TAKOYAKI, CHASHU SLIDERS, SPICY EDAMAME, FRIED SHUMAI, PORK KATSUDON, SHRIMP KATSUDON, CHASHU UDON, SU UDON, TONKOTSU SHIO RAMEN, KARA TORI PAITAN, and NOMU TAN MEN. All of these dishes were delicious, flavorful, and prepared very well. I have not had a less than excellent experience here that is why I kept coming back with family and friends. Service is consistently friendly and very efficient. I like the neat and clean lay out of the place as well. The bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant but still within the building. I will keep coming back here and I hope they stay strong! Til next time :) ”
